Assembled Sturmtruppen squads and support weapons

Tuesday, February 14, 2012

First shots of an assembled squad, command squad and support.

Keep in mind these are multi-part metal minis. There are five standing/running leg poses and two kneeling leg poses. A total of seven weapons choices and the ability to choose what weapons to assemble with any leg set, as well as the ability to customize the pose by twisting the torso and heads.

Here we have a five man squad.

This is a command squad.

A forward observer with  artillery/orbital strike designator.

A light Anti-Tank gun and crew.

Not every venture goes as smoothly as one would like. Apparently when the arms were matched, not all the left and right arms were matched properly as a set. This will cause a slight set back as I correct the issue for the Kickstarter crew and the stock that I have for retail sale.
I will post pics of the Kreigsmarine next and update with an official release date and price as soon as the kinks have been worked out.

All the best!

Khurasan Dictator wins runner up for TGN best vehicle 2011

Wednesday, February 8, 2012

A big congrats to Jon!

This is the first time, to my knowledge, that a 15mm scale vehicle has pushed the envelope into what is a mainly 28mm scale world. See the results here.

You can see more about the Dictator here.

If you love 15mm You should stop by JBR's blog for some very crunchy 15mm goodness :)

First look at the new minis!

Thursday, February 2, 2012

Here is your first look at a Sturmtruppen fresh from the caster. Please excuse the terrible homemade wash and the poor quality photos :)

I will post pics of all the raw sprues and the complete selection when time allows. My main priority at this point is getting these in the hands of all the Kickstarter folks that made this possible… THANK YOU to all who participated! Without your support these would not be a reality.

Here are a couple of well-lit shots viewed through my desk magnifier.

Here is a scale comparison with a few popular lines.

And some shots at table level to give you an idea how they blend with other minis.

I have to send a big thanks out to Jeff over at FortressFigures. He did one hell of a job with some very complex minis and the quality shows. As a vendor I give him a solid “A” start to finish.

After all the Kickstarter orders have been sent, I will update the website and open up sales.

Looking at the final product is very exciting, I think my only criticism is that they look a little leggy, but with the accessory packs and some leg or hip mounted ammo pouches I think the extra bulk and details will really make these shine. You can see from the first set of pics I added the medics pack and Sergeants knife to give it a little bling :)
Here is what will be available to add the bling factor.

I hope you enjoy them….

All the best!

Shaun paints up a stunning Leviathan Crusader

Wednesday, February 1, 2012

Shaun over at Tanks and trolls posted up a wonderfully painted Crusader on our forum.
Please feel free to drop by and see the other great work can conversions.

Shaun has far more painting skill than myself and does one hell of a job turning a Crusader into a GK titan.

Here is what he had to say:
“Made a little time between commission work to knock out this Crusader, another ticked off the list!
Went together like a dream and fun to paint, will be putting some pennies by to bag Dreamforge’s Mortis model in the future.

Decided to go with a GK theme to compliment my ever growing forces but tried to keep it pretty generic so as to be able to use it in pretty much any gaming system that requires a giant death dealing war machine!

Or even a replacement Dreadknight for those people that thought the standard GW ones were a little anorexic and required a month at the gym (well this is the result)

Besides...I like shiny”

All I have to say is, WOW! Hats off to you, thats one hell of a paint job!
I encourage you to go check out Shaun’s site. Lots more pics and not just DreamForge stuff. Awsome collection and some amazing painting chops!

When overkill just wont due....Double gunnin gets it done
Someone say overkill? guess I spoke too soon...

Eisenkern Heavy Trooper (Preview) 28-32mm miniatures

Friday, January 27, 2012

I am pleased to introduce the Eisenkern Heavy Trooper. Shown here are the three variants.

On the left, an anti-personnel or AA mount, nothing says suppressive fire like a quad S.A.W.
Center, is an assault specialist armed with a power sword and wearing the fluted commander’s helm and chest armor.
To the right, a belt fed auto-cannon to deal with that armor problem.

Here is the optional helm for those that prefer a more unified WWII/Weird war feel.

Here is an exploded view. Note the separate arms, head and shoulders… this will allow the modeler to use components from other miniatures to keep a cohesive look to their weapons, no matter what game they choose.

Here is a scale comparison with a Sturmtruppen.

Here is a scale comparison with another manufacturer’s sci-fi mini.

Note: These will be very slightly taller than most 28mm scale at 33.5mm from the bottom of the foot to the top of the head, about 2mm taller than most minis. Not so large as to look out of place on the table but if your eying them form ground level you may see a differance.

When will these be available? I don’t have a date yet but I hope to start the print and mold process ASAP. I will be posting the Eisenkern Sturmtruppen and Kriegsmarine on my web site next month.

Sneak peek of an Eisenkern Heavy Trooper

Tuesday, January 24, 2012

Still a W.I.P.
Here is one of three troopers for the "heavy" trooper class. The soldier is clad in full power armor and wielding a quad mount machine gun. On his back is an auto-loader system to reload his main weapon as well as a massive power supply for his armor.

There will be three heavy troopers…. More to follow….
